1921:

Thomas Edison takes a nap while Harvey Firestone and President Warren Harding read the newspaper.  Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone, Thomas Edison and President Harding, (who arrived in a Packard, not a Ford), motored to the Firestone estate in Maryland for an afternoon of relaxation. The National Photo Company went along and made this photograph.  The National Photo Company was a  major player in Washington news pictures in 1921. On June 13, 1921, twenty-four movie and still men met in the offices of the National Photo Company and formed the White House News Photographers Association.
