The White House News Photographers Association was appalled to hear that reporter Kaitlan Collins, a White House reporter for CNN, was banned from a press event in the Rose Garden for asking questions the White House did not like, according to CNN. We strongly condemn the White House denying access to journalists simply for doing their jobs, and we believe that such actions unduly serve to stifle a free press.
Such rhetoric and actions from the President and the White House that seemingly occur simply because they do not like the questions and the coverage they are getting undermine the very essence of our democratic society.
