Stephen Clapper


Stephen Clapper is a photojournalist at Newschannel 5 WTVF-TV in Nashville. He began his career as a photojournalist in 2007 at KBTV in Beaumont, Texas after graduating from Lamar University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. Stephen has also worked as a photojournalist in Greensboro, North Carolina and San Antonio, Texas before moving to Nashville in 2014. Stephen is an active NPPA member and an Emmy award winning photographer.

Eli Gardiner


Eli Gardiner first discovered his passion for Storytelling and Photojournalism when he was a student at Northern Michigan University and enrolled in a black and white photography class. After working at a few stations in Michigan, he became a member of the NPPA while working at WHO-TV in Des Moines Iowa. In Iowa he covered the 2012 presidential election and was part of a team of photojournalists that won a regional Edward R Murrow award for Photography and where twice runners up for the NPPA Small Market Station of The Year. Eli is currently in his third year working at WTVR in Richmond Virginia, where in 2015 he was a integral part of the team that won the NPPA Medium Market Station Of the Year. Eli has judged the NPPA BOP, the NPPA regional quarterly contest as well as regional Emmy awards.

Tammie Mills


Tammie Mills currently works for WVUE Fox 8 New Orleans as a photojournalist and editor. I have been with Fox 8 for seven years. I am originally from Bakersfield, Ca where I started working 17 years ago at KERO 23 News as an editor. My favorite slogan, “Looking at life through my viewfinder.” I have had the honor of winning press club awards, AP awards and an Emmy. I love the craft of videography and editing and truly making a visual story.
