Toby Massey passes away

Former AP photo editor and shooter Toby Massey passed away Thursday at home in Columbia, South Carolina. Massey was a well liked and respected member of the photojournalism community. During his 38 years at the Associated Press Massey photographed or directed coverage of major sports and political events as well as other significant news. Massey’s funeral will take place Saturday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m. at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas, Va. The burial will be private.
